We are proud to announce that UTSA Online has ranked in the top 25% of all online bachelor’s degrees in the nation, and has jumped 161 spots in the U.S. News and World Report’s Best Online Programs rankings, going from No. 246 in 2021 to No. 85 in 2023.

The velocity of UTSA Online’s growth, as reported by UTSA Today this morning, is proof of the commitment and hard work of UTSA’s faculty, Academic Innovation’s Office of Teaching, Learning, and Digital Transformation, and the UTSA Online team. We have been working non-stop to ensure our online students receive the same quality of education as on-campus students, but with the flexibility and customization that our adult learners need.

UTSA Online is committed to providing students who are not able to attend on-campus classes due to their busy lives and schedules with the same quality and rigor that on-campus students have access to, and this year’s U.S. News & World Report rankings demonstrate just that:

  • #1 Best Online Programs in San Antonio
  • #1 Best Online Programs among UT System Universities
  • 7th Best Online Programs in Texas
  • Top 25% of Best Online Programs in the Nation (Top 38% in 2022 and Top 75% in 2021)

Throughout this year, you will be able to witness how impactful UTSA Online’s programs have been in our students’ lives. We are sharing stories of UTSA Online students like Felicia Carrola, B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies, who found her ideal role at San Antonio Northside Independent School District, and Shalita Myrick, M.S. in Facility Management, who works at Texas Children’s Hospital as Senior Project Manager for Facilities Operations. Both of them graduated from UTSA Online in December 2022.
