Dr. Rebecca Schroeder

Rebecca Schroeder, Ph.D. is the Associate dean of University College, as well as an educator in Academic Introduction and Strategies (AIS), Multidisciplinary Studies, and Data Science at UTSA. She teaches across disciplines, including Introduction to Data Science and Data Science for All. A recipient of the 2021 Presidential Distinguished Teaching Award, Schroeder is a current fellow of the Texas Academic Leadership Academy, as well as a member of the GenAI Consortium. Her work emphasizes student empowerment through skill-building for academic and professional success. Schroeder has a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
