Thomas Ervin

Thomas Ervin is an Assistant Professor of Practice, Information Systems and Cyber Security at UTSA. He brings over 25 years of experience in cyber forensics supporting federal law enforcement agencies with criminal and national security investigations.

Ervin teaches courses in digital forensics and malware analysis, sharing real-world knowledge drawn from decades in the field. He has also led international training efforts in over 15 countries, developing programs focused on malware analysis and digital forensic techniques.

He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University.
