Dr. Karen Daas

Dr. Karen L. Daas is the Program Director for Multidisciplinary Studies and Academic Introduction and Strategies as well as an Associate Professor of Communication at UTSA. She uses qualitative and critical methods to examine communication and its intersections with identity and popular culture. Daas received her B.A. in Communication Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and her M.A. in Communication from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She earned her Ph.D. in communication with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Culture from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
