Our 100% online programs are designed for learners who prefer a more flexible, self-paced experience. Time management skills are extremely important to succeed in online programs. Students will be given deadlines each week, but will complete their work while balancing personal and professional responsibilities.

If you have never previously attended college, you are required to submit high school transcripts as part of the application process, regardless of time since graduation.
Yes, as part of the admissions process, UT San Antonio requires you to submit transcripts for all institutions you have attended.

Once you have submitted your application, including all necessary documents, it could take a few weeks to receive an admissions decision. Processing times are longer closer to the deadlines, so you are encouraged to apply early. You can check the status of your application in your myUTSA Admissions portal.
If you’ve received your acceptance letter, you can sign up for Orientation in your myUTSA Admissions portal. Click “Review Details and Checklist” under “Your Rowdy Ready Status.” Once Orientation has opened for your term, you’ll click “Sign up for Orientation.”
Like your classes, Orientation for UT San Antonio Online is completed fully online. You won’t have to go to campus, just sign up and complete your Orientation in your myUTSA Admissions portal!
Note: Orientation for Online students is free. It is a requirement and must be completed before you can schedule your academic advising appointment.
Yes. While we encourage students to use the UT San Antonio Online portal to apply, you can submit your application through ApplyTexas or the CommonApp.
No. At UT San Antonio Online, you’ll have due dates each week but you won’t have any class meeting times. You’ll log into Canvas, our Learning Management System, to complete your work around your own schedule.
