Karen Daas, PhD
Karen L. Daas, PhD is the Program Director for Multidisciplinary Studies and Academic Introduction and Strategies as well as an Associate Professor of Communication at UT San Antonio. She uses qualitative and critical methods to examine communication and its intersections with identity and popular culture. Daas received her BA in Communication Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and her MA in Communication from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She earned her PhD in communication with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Culture from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
